John Bennett

Coming from a disadvantaged background himself, John overcame very difficult odds to achieve good A-Levels and to go on to qualify in law. He was a larger than life character who touched everyone he came into contact with, and his early death had a profound effect on a huge number of people. He was passionate about academic attainment and never missed an opportunity to encourage others to study. After his death, his friends wanted to honour him in some way, and helping others to achieve their academic goals seemed an apt way to do this. We set up the John Bennett Trust with this aim in mind.
